The Virtual Warfare Munitions Simulator Facility (VWaMS) is an immersive design center, conceived by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate (AFRL/RW) to provide a live, virtual and constructive (LVC) environment for AFRL’s Next Generation (NEXGEN) weapons development program.
The primary space is a 44-person Auditorium with tiered console seating for optimum viewing of projected program simulations. Each auditorium seat position (workstation) is equipped with audio and visual technologies and a 20” touch-screen interactive display monitor, microphone and connectivity for power and A/V. The Auditorium image display is a 17-foot high by 41-foot wide curved screen, sized to display (20) simultaneously projected images.
The entire facility is a controlled-access environment; the Auditorium and its support functions are designed IAW DoDM 5200.01-Vol.3 Physical Security Standards. Remaining areas include (3) analysis rooms and a secure server room.
