Flight Test Operations Facility

This Design-Build provides a two-story, 33,486 SF facility consisting of office and administrative areas including conference rooms and an auditorium. Other spaces include logistics, briefing, operations, maintenance and warehouse areas.

The purpose of the facility it to support the mission of the Air Force’s 18th Flight Test Squadron and the 413th Flight Test Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The project includes Open Storage Classified areas designed in accordance with DoD 5200.1-R and Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) designed in accordance with JAFAN 6/9. The design meets all AT/FP requirements as outlined in UFC 4-010-01.

The facility achieved LEED Silver NC v3.0 Certification. The facility includes energy saving features such as a roof mounted photovoltaic array, roof mounted solar water heating system, solar window screens and a rain water harvesting system.
