The project provides a 5,800 SF addition and renovation to an existing 11,300 SF cooperative health food store as well as the renovation of an existing 2,300 SF vacant building that was incorporated into the overall facility layout to serve the Co-op as a Community Room. Ever'Man commissioned the expansion / renovation project to reflect their core values and environmentally-conscious mission, and encouraged the design team to incorporate sustainable design practices. As a result, the project is designed and is being constructed to LEED Gold v3.0 standards for new construction and major renovations. The new addition provides a 33% increase in sales areas, including expansion of deli, produce, and seafood sales areas. New kitchens, coolers, food preparation, offices and stock areas were also incorporated. An enlarged indoor eating area serves patrons purchasing ready-to-eat products from the deli.
